Debbie Byrd

Debbie Byrd | 12pm – 3pm

Debbie Forrest began her music career in Nashville, TN in 2004 with the release of her first album Long Ride Home produced by Ian Fitchuk and Justin Loucks (Kacey Musgraves, Amy Grant, Thad Cockrell). In 2008 Debbie moved home to Texas to be a full time worship leader.

In 2011 Debbie released her second album The Train Song, which was produced by Robbie Seay and Dan Workman (ZZ Top, Destiny’s Child, John Evans, Clay Walker). Its tracks are deeply moving, melodic and captivating. Debbie’s songs, much like her life, are rooted in faith and burned by trial. ‘The Train Song” is a singer/songwriter album at heart but has soul like Texas Red Dirt music. In 2011 she also formed the band The Grievous Angels with fellow singer songwriters Libby Koch and Lainey Balagia. They recorded a self titled album in 2013 for which they won Vocal Group of the Year in the Texas Music Awards.

In 2014 Debbie took a break to have some babies, and after 4 years away she longs to be back on the stage. She believes in forgiveness, so she stayed with music through the ups & downs. Singing songs of both despair & redemption, she radiates joy and energy. Driving back and forth between worship halls and dance halls, Debbie’s joy is contagious. Come watch her and you just might catch it.
